The Open Office seeks volunteers

We Made That are currently recruiting volunteers to contribute to The Open Office, a new and lively practice for urbanism. This up-coming residency in the AF Project Space will be part ‘Citizens Urban Advice Bureau’, and part functioning practice, and the project will offer an approachable and dynamic forum for public discussions about cities, planning, architecture and communities.

Drawing upon their interest in fostering relationships between authorities, local communities, design teams and the public, the London-based practice will create an office environment with no closed cabinets, files or notebooks, with the process of working with the built environment on display for all to see.

We Made That are now seeking volunteers for The Open Office to undertake research projects and design reviews during the exhibition period. This will be a great opportunity to widen your experience of working in the public domain and to showcase your skills. All work produced over the duration of The Open Office will be exhibited to create an ever-changing environment that will develop and mature over the course of the residency. The Open Office team will also be on hand to provide general advice and discussion with the public.

Individuals, with a degree level or above qualification in the built environment, are invited to join The Open Office team on a voluntary basis for a maximum period of one week.

To apply please send a brief CV to with the subject heading "I'd like to join The Open Office" by midday on Friday 8 February 2013.
