A sneak preview of our Summer exhibition: Jimenez Lai needs your help, and offers grand rewards!

Jimenez Lai needs your support to help fund his summer exhibition at the AF - Bureau Spectacular: Hefner/Beuys House - in exchange for grand rewards.

For his first solo exhibition outside of North America, Chicago-based architect Jimenez Lai’s Bureau Spectacular will transform the AF’s Project Space with an inhabitable installation; creating a modular home of ‘super-furniture.’ Playing with the contemporary performance of living in public and the Bureau’s trademark conflation of cartoon and architecture, Lai himself will call the installation home over the London Festival of Architecture period, before a series of invited guests take up residence in exchange for hosting public events over the course of the exhibition.

Through Kickstarter, a funding platform for creative projects, you can pledge your support for Jimenez's project by donating as little as $1 (63p) in return for exclusive rewards ranging from hand-folded comics and original signed drawings to your very own piece of super furniture, from this original and exciting new voice in architecture, whose monographic graphic novel / manifesto Citizens of No Place will be published by Princeton Architectural Press later this year.
