The John Edwards Lecture

The inaugural John Edwards Lecture took place this past Monday to a capacity crowd at Tate Modern. Thom Mayne and Frédéric Flamand engaged in an inspiring conversation touching on kinetic architecture, Mayne's concept of 'connected isolation,' Flamand's engagement with dance as an 'ephemeral architecture in space,' and the question of whether buildings have an obligation to be 'friendly.'

A full video recording of the event will be available to watch online, in the new year.

With thanks to the Estate of Francis Bacon, CABE and Eurostar for their support of the event.
