Call for applicants: Architecture Foundation Research Fellowship 2022

The Architecture Foundation is inviting applications for a new Research Fellowship that it is establishing to support the research activities of practising architects.

The Fellowship will provide up to £24K of financial support and is envisaged as representing a two-day/week commitment over an eighteen month period.

A central ambition of the Research Fellowship is that its output represents a distinctive contribution to the Architecture Foundation’s public programme, whether in the form of an exhibition, publication, live event series or digital initiative.

We particularly welcome proposals that engage with the challenges of contemporary practice in London and which aim to inform the city’s future development.

Applicants must be based in London and Part III qualified.  There is flexibility over the start-date of the Fellowship but we anticipate the successful candidate taking up the position before the end of 2022.

Interested candidates should submit:

- a pdf curriculum vitae of no more than two sides of A4

- a pdf description of their proposed research project of no more than two sides of A4. This should include an indication of envisaged costs and any additional funding sources that the project may require.  It should also include an indication of who the audience for the research output would be.

Applications should be submitted to by midday, 5th September 2022.  Please include ‘Architecture Foundation Research Fellowship’ in the email subject bar.
