New Ideas for New Holland

16-30 July 2011

An exhibition of new ideas for New Holland Island, a unique 8-hectare site in the heart of historic St Petersburg, is on show at the new Naval Museum directly opposite the Island.

The exhibition, designed by David Kohn Architects with graphics by Fraser Muggeridge studio, showcases the work of eight architectural practices, including four that have been shortlisted for the influential role of masterplanning consultant for the Island’s future development as a result of an invitated competition organised by the AF for the Iris Foundation. The shortlisted practices are David Chipperfield Architects (UK/Germany), MVRDV (Netherlands), Studio 44 (Russia) and WORKac (USA). The exhibition will coincide with the first public tours of New Holland.
