Urban Pioneers Alumni Programme
August - September 2011
Following successful multidisciplinary education programmes in Bankside, London Bridge, Kings Cross, Deptford, Battersea, the Upper Lee Valley, Barking, and Canada Water, The Architecture Foundation began the Urban Pioneers Alumni Programme. This programme reunited young people from these diverse parts of London for new creative collaborations in South Kilburn during August and September 2011.
The group spent the summer rediscovering the overlooked and abandoned spaces of South Kilburn; working with architects, artists, designers and representatives from Brent Council, to come up with new ideas to reinvigorate the forgotten corners of the neighbourhood.
