Aleksandra Wasilkowska and Common Office
Tuesday 4 May, 7pmAleksandra Wasilkowska and Finn Williams (Common Office) in conversation chaired by architecture critic and curator Grzegorz Piatek.
Aleksandra Wasilkowska
Aleksandra Wasilkowska's
projects have included collaborations with artists, sociologists, scientists,
and mathematicians, and has recently completed a socialist cafe and cultural
centre in Warsaw. Her studio is used as a site of experimentation - a vitrine
displays a planted installation as a manifestation of the architect's belief in
the inherent logic of natural, bottom-up processes.
Common Office
Finn Williams started Common
Office in 2008 to address the complex reality of the built environment. The
practice focuses on why buildings come about, as well as what they look like -
working between politics, economy, people and policy. Finn curated the
exhibition The Rule of Regulations for The Architecture Foundation and is an
Urban Designer at Croydon Council.
