New Architects: Poland_UK
The Architecture Foundation is collaborating with the Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw, and Golden Lion winning curator Grzegorz Piatek on an exchange programme for emerging architects from Poland and the UK. Polish practices Beton, Aleksandra Wasilkowska and WWAA, and UK-based Common Office, Dallas Pierce Quintero and office for subversive architecture will be participating in programmes in both countries. Along with public talks in Warsaw and London, the practices will take part in activities that explore challenges and opportunities in these two cities must each address, including stalled corporate buildings and preparation for major sporting events in 2012.
New Architects: Poland_UK is supported by the Royal College of Art, British Council (Poland) and is part of POLSKA! YEAR, a celebration of Polish Culture across the UK, coordinated by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. Please Visit www.PolskaYear.pl for more details.
The Architecture Foundation has also initiated exchange programmes between the UK and the USA, Italy, Turkey and Norway, with more forthcoming.
