2012Architecten - Superuse
Chaired by Justin McGuirk, Editor, Icon Magazine

Jan Jongert, 2012Architecten, will present the Dutch practice’s pioneering work in re-use, research and adaptation. Theirs is an architecture that sees Audi 100 windscreens become a shoe-shop’s shelving, and mountains of washing machines recombined to produce a futuristic mobile studio. Projects such as Recyclicity and the book and online initiative Superuse, extend their agenda yet further and provide a suite of new ideas on functionality within the framework of sustainability.

Recently celebrated in Icon magazine's list of 20 architects who are making the future and changing the way we think, 2012’s architecture sets an agenda for new attitudes towards materiality, design strategy and play.
