Urban Splash and Friends present New Islington, Manchester

New Islington is set to be the most exciting, most ambitious regeneration project that the UK has ever seen. Masterplanned by Will Allsop (as legend has it, and repeated on their website, with just a glass of wine and a thick marker pen), Urban Splash is to create a new urban development incorporating a central canal and water park, 1700 new homes, office space, a school, a health clinic, shops, bars and restaurants using some of the most interesting architects working today.
