Proclamations for a Beautiful City

The second installment of Renegade City is a graphic installation by Alain de Botton and A Practice for Everyday Life questioning the role of the architect in creating beauty in the city. The series of proclamations are posted on the outside of the Yard Gallery, directly onto the street.

Renegade City

Renegade City was a season of short exhibitions and events at The Architecture Foundation’s Yard Gallery by invited curators and artists that explored alternative urban experiences. Away from the glare of mainstream culture, cities offer space and freedom to experiment, deviate and create. Renegade City celebrated the diversity that can exist, often oblivious to the masses, within the contemporary city.
