Real Architecture: Zaha Hadid presents the Phaeno Science Centre

Weds 4 May 2005 7pm

The Phaeno Science Centre in Wolfsburg "is conceived as a mysterious object that encourages curiosity and discovery," according to a new book on Zaha Hadid. It is a great horizontal slab levitating above the ground. At once dynamic and imposing, it takes to new levels Hadid's interest in free flowing forms and spaces, and in curving and warping the planes of her buildings.
