Real Architecture: Adam Caruso presents the Brick House

Weds 11 May 2005 7pm

The Brick House in west London is a new family house that is almost invisible from the street. It is an interior world shaped by brick walls and floors and concrete ceilings, and the oblique fall of light. Through the consistent and unexpected use of external building materials for a domestic interior it removes the visitor from the streets of London into a new and serene space.

The Brick House was the latest work of Caruso St John, who made their name with the New Art Gallery, Walsall.
