Real Architecture: Nigel Coates presents Ecstacity

Weds 10 September 2003 7pm
  • Ecstacity book cover

Enfant terrible of the design world, Nigel Coates has built his career around the notion that architecture needn't be a building, but that it should pull together the normal world in the broadest sense whilst providing windows for the imagination.  As Head of the Architecture Department at the RCA and partner of Branson Coates, Nigel had established himself as a designer, curator, writer, artist and teacher.

In his latest project Ecstacity, an eleven-year project in the making, he turned his hand to film-making and graphic design to explore the evolution of urban space.
