Concept House 98

4 March - 11 April 1998

Concept House 98 harked back to the origins of the Daily Mail Ideal Home Exhibition when, as the title of the show suggests, the intention was to provide the public with ideas for creating the ideal home by offering a mixture of practical suggestions, inspiration and aspiration.

The Concept House 98 competition reflected contemporary issues about diverse lifestyle, environmental concerns and fiscal restraint. Debate and controversy were inevitable and contribute to a healthy awareness about the landscape of housing.

The Architecture Foundation hosted the exhibition of the full range of winning entries and shortlisted schemes in the Concept House 98 competition.
