Public Views 1: Urban Investigations – London, Paris, New York, Cardiff

28 July - 6 August 1995

Op-Arc were finalists for the Cardiff Opera House International Competition while still at university, here they presented their work in a variety of media ranging from computer graphics to a glass chaise longue.

Unit 4 from South Bank University presented three films of three cities: London, Paris and New York. Exploring the unique urban identity of each, this experimental approach informed the work produced by Unit 4's students for a series of public buildings along the river Thames, including an extended embankment and a market/mosque.

Exhibitors:

Op-Arc: Christopher Bagot, Daniel Evans, Gary Fell and Oliver Salway
Unit 4, South Bank University: Tutors: Maike Kane, David Adjaye. Students: Ami Burton, James Bushell, Ravi Sharma.
