City Changes: Exhibition at Prague Castle

1 April 1994 - 30 June 1994

The City Changes exhibition (London, May – October 1992) had travelled to Sao Paolo (Brazil), Barcelona (Spain), and Prague Castle in the Czech Republic 1994. The opening of the exhibition in Prague was accompanied by a major symposium discussing the future of Prague in the light of recent political and economic development.

Presentations were made by architects Michael and Patty Hopkins, Sir Norman Foster, Terry Farrell, John Outram, Eva Jiricna, Jan Kaplicky, David Chipperfield, journalist Paul Finch, historian Mark Girouard, and Michael Cassidy and Peter Wynne Rees from the Corporation of London. The symposium was chaired by Professor Vladimir Slapeta and Richard Burdett.

City Changes: Architecture in the City of London 1985-95

The exhibition documented the City’s architectural achievements since 1985, a period which had seen the biggest building boom in the Square Mile since World War II.
