New Position: The Architecture Foundation Projects Assistant

The Architecture Foundation is looking for a new member of staff

The Architecture Foundation is appointing a new member of staff to its small directorial team.  The Projects Assistant will support the Director, Deputy Director and various collaborators pursuing our core mission of bringing new voices to the conversation about London's future.

The Projects Assistant will work across our diverse programme of publications, live events and online activities.  They will have particular responsibility for maintaining and developing a number of established Architecture Foundation initiatives, including the online Architecture Schools Database, the London Architecture Guide app and the associated programme of walking tours. The role also encompasses supporting the logistics of live events throughout the year including the flagship Architecture on Stage lecture programme which the Architecture Foundation delivers in partnership with the Barbican Centre as well as various one-off events including parties, festivals, panel debates and workshops.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the start of their career with a passion for developing the discourse of architecture. You will work with a wide range of figures in the built environment using a broad set of skills to reach a large audience in nimble and creative ways. Applications are invited from candidates who have completed an architectural education to at least Part I level and can demonstrate strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and outstanding digital and English literacy.  The position will be based at the Architecture Foundation’s offices at the Royal College of Art in Kensington Gore but will require regular travel across London. It is offered at an annual salary of £25,000 and is envisaged as a full-time role but applications from candidates interested in working a four day week will be considered. Applications from students who will be graduating this summer are actively encouraged.

Letters of application and small portfolio of design work should be accompanied by a short curriculum vitae and emailed to by 30th April.
