Our Street

This proposal aims to generate a coherent urban space that promotes a vibrant mix of commercial opportunities and community activities at different scales and different times – a forum for street activities, special events, spontaneous happenings and everyday life. Phase one would create a new hybrid space – part park, part street, part square, stitched together with an urban ‘ribbon’ mutating in form and function along the route.

Phase 2 would continue the ‘ribbon’ of activities and furniture, while Phase 3 would reinstate the crossroads and redevelop the underground station, releasing public space on all four corners and providing development opportunities.
